As you are aware, Pioneer Center for Human Services along with every other service provider in the State has been greatly affected by the cuts in funding to human services by the state of Illinois. While some funding has been temporarily restored for the time being, we have been informed by our state funding entities that there will be changes in how services will be funded in the near future. First and foremost, we will only be given funding for those clients that have been approved for services under the state of Illinois Medicaid Waiver program; and the funding for Waiver services is limited.
Our first meeting will be Wednesday, October 7th, 2009 at 6 p.m. at the Shah Center in McHenry, located at 4100 W. Shamrock Lane, directly off Route 31, just north of Pioneer Center and learn about the Illinois Waiver programs and how to have your family member/ward approved. At this meeting, presenters from Pioneer Center and Options & Advocacy will be there to answer your questions about the Medicaid application process.
In order to ensure enough seating, please RSVP to Jason Clark jclark@pioneercenter.org <mailto:jclark@pioneercenter.org> or 815-759-7030 or Cindy Sullivan cindy.sullivan@opad.org <mailto:cindy.sullivan@opad.org> or 815-477-4720 no later than Tuesday, October 6.
